Yes, I played golf with Mr Wedderburn back in the day!
Can see you fitting right in at Enville GC

Henry Winter, L
3 waxed lyrical about their paths crossing about 5 years ago. I think it was on Nonleague Day
It was Stamford, not far from where he lives. Could have been non league day, he’d been at Wembley for England the night before. Next morning he was on Gary Richardson’s 5live radio show. He said he’s been to Stamford but I don’t think the Town were mentioned.
Around the same time, Birmingham Mail’s Matt Kendrick was at The Grove with his son probably on a non league day too.

Played at Enville many times! Lovely course!
Bizarrely, I worked at a golf course in my teenage years (even got down to a handicap of 6!). I used to regularly play with Albion footballers including Kwame Ampadu. His son is a far better footballer than he was...

And with the Albion link Don Goodman is a regular down there now!

When I have time now (which isn’t often!) I play at The Wergs with my dad - the Wolves manager plays there as well I believe - but I’ve only ever seen him in the bar!

From reading the Distress and Star, Donald appears to have forgotten he played for anyone other than Wuluvs. Bit like that Tipton fella.

I've never heard of any of these people! It would appear we have not had ONE famous non football person here EVER.

Ashley Young was a much better footballer than Grealish imo and put in an appearance in the Stilyan Petrov charity game a few years back
and those of you familiar with the Harry Rudge video will spot Paul McGrath hobbling onto the Grove in claret and blue in a friendly.
