We I vote we rejoin the Northern League - less travelling, for a start.
For me, Doc and Poll anyway

Well the club would definitely baulk at that one, and we’d never be allowed that far north. Presumably you mean the Northern Prem
It would be interesting to see which Southern League clubs voted to restart. I assume No Tier 3 clubs would have voted that way.

With all this talk of restarting the Southern League, it seems to have slipped under the radar as to when and how Fantasy Island is going to restart

And what if the season is abandoned? Have the FI Management Committee decided in what manner the competition will be concluded?
PPG? Goals scored? Rock, paper, scissors? Or the number of pints that you bought El Presidente of the Island the last time you saw him?
It can't be any more of a fiasco than the Southern League. Or can it?

Obviously I'm on top of it
I've been updating the fixtures as best I can (currently pretending we'll start again on December 19th like the Southern League).
Seeing as everyone will be on the same number of games - the number of games we play - then PPG will have the same effect as the total number of points. The title will go to the person with the most points when the season ends, just like last season.
No messing about here at Fantasy Island Towers, not like the SL.
Do keep up at the back

The real question with Fantasy Island is whether there will be the usual lavish prize giving ceremony with the trophy in all it’s magnificence (social distancing rules permitting, of course)

There are some things that we can’t allow this damn virus to stop, so the Fantasy Island prize giving ceremony will be exactly the same as in the last 20 years.

It’s so reassuring to understand that there is one constant in life that is unaffected by the current situation. Thank you for making sure of that Poll.

....and there was me thinking DJ had funded a lavish lifestyle on the back of his annual wins.

The last team we played AFC Dunstable have made it clear they wanted to restart immediately.
But then their club and season is set up on rent a ground, no bar income, no cafe income and smallish gates. Dependent on sponsors or someone to make up difference between costs and income.

We're back -
https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 32000?s=20
https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/dec/10/ ... r-3-101220
No date given but,
We have today received approval from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) for a limited return of home spectators to be permitted at clubs competing in the National League System (NLS), Women’s Football Pyramid (WFP)and Buildbase FA Vase if they are situated in Tier 3 areas.
suggests that it starts now.
And
15% of their ground grading capacity
suggests probably 600-800 for us?
Maybe?
