Concessions

Post by Unihammer01 » 22 Oct 2018, 09:43

Forgot my season ticket on Saturday. When I went to pay at the Stourbr*dge Rd turnstile, I was told £10. I'm 60 and said I think it should be £7. I was told by the guy on the turnstile concessions were for over 65s. He called a steward over who said the same thing. Just checked the website which says over 60s. Which is correct? I don't care about £3, but didn't like being made to think I was trying to put one over the club.

Its not so much making you feel bad (not that that is important in its own right) its more the impression it would give to an away supporter or an occasional visitor. Not a good look in my opinion if the web site says one thing and the detail on the ground is either different or misunderstood

Hi , I was the guy on the Stourbr*dge Road end turnstile on Saturday and have just read your post, as you have rightly pointed out you are correct and i was wrong I made a genuine mistake thinking a concession was 65 please accept my apologies., I have just just been InTouch with Karen Brookes and discussed this with her and if you present your season ticket to me at the next home game on the Stourbr*dge Road turnstile the club will refund your £10 as a gesture of goodwill. I hope this is acceptable to you and once again please accept my apologies

It’s doing the decent thing in the end that counts. Well done to Richard and Karen for this

Well done all concerned on this matter. The simple correct decision leaves everybody happy. Life should always be like this.

Thanks for the apology and the financial gesture, much appreciated.

As I said, it wasn't about the money. So, perhaps it could be donated to whatever charitable cause HTFC are invoved with at the moment, or perhaps the poppy appeal.

Again, thanks.

Andy
