Why is nobody taking into account that the new pitch will aid the away teams also? Bearing in mind we were regularly completely outplayed on a dreadful pitch with teams playing on it for the first time, imagine what they will do on a proper pitch. This pitch thing is a complete myth. Give it six weeks of the season and you'll see, it might look nice but it's going to make absolutely no difference to what happens on it results wise

I don't think people are not taking into account the pitch will aid the opposition as well, but we have been calling for a better playing surface for some time. We can not have it both ways can we?

The pitch has been improved for our own benefit, so lets give our team a chance to play a better style of football first and foremost, and then as you say, after 6 weeks give an opinion based on facts.

During the closed season there has been nary a post from you but, as soon as an opportunity to gripe arises you seize it with both hands.
Do us, and the club, a favour and stop taking the medication, please.

I may be wrong but certainly at home I don't see a striker becoming isolated this season. No matter how good or bad we are I think players will be more willing to push forward with the ball rather than punting it because the p*t*h is so much better. It played really true yesterday and players seemed more willing to try accurate short passing and moving the ball AND players forward at the same time. I'm not saying we are going to pull up any trees but that style was a move in the right direction for me. If we DO start lumping it every week on this surface THEN serious questions will need to be asked.

I'm going off the usual tactics employed. Hopefully this changes. It has to.
