On reflection, and despite my initial disappointment, in terms of travelling time, I think being in the north we'd be spending a lot of time not moving up the M6.
As long as we get the distance games on a Saturday and the teams less than 2 hours away midweek it won't make too much difference. Most Saturday away games you can leave by 12 and still have time for a couple of pints before kick off!
Come on, embrace it!

Re: League & Fixtures 2014/5
As Raiden said, I was really geared up for a trip to FC United. Never mind, travelling down the M5 will be relatively straight forward, and we can make a return to the three-stand cricket pitch in Shamblecote! I must admit I would rather be in the North, but if we're in the south so be it. Besides I'm sure we can appeal

Re: League & Fixtures 2014/5
to put it into perspective and on the basis that if we were in the North we would replace Corby then there is very little difference in miles and travel times...5080 miles in South and 96 hours travel time v. 4608 miles and 93 hours in the North.....so 400 miles and an three hours extra over a season isn't that bad is it? Anyone who thinks it is cast your memory back to that horror season in the South and West a few years ago

Nice away trips, if not a fair few miles away?
Never been to any, just going on coast line, or closeness to coast!
Tempting though it is not to put you straight, and then to laugh our heads off when you turn up in totally the wrong part of the country, but it's not Burnham-on-Sea. It's a godforsaken suburb of Slough where somebody has ploughed up a farmer's field next door to a "Health Spa", stuck some seat onto the side wall of said Spa, and called it a Football Club. They announce attendances in the 120s when every bunch of supporters that goes there sends somebody round the ground doing a headcount that never comes to more than 70-odd. I'm all for not missing a game if I can help it, but I'd happily advise you to make an exception for Burnham.

Didn't Tim Clarke turn up at the wrong Ashord some seasons ago?The Reasonable Man wrote:
