Some people moaned about £8 and current concession prices for OAPs. I think it is time for an increase and £9 leaves a pound for golden goal or hot drink to keep OAPs warm.

So just to put this into perspective a bit.
if we are in the same league as Stour and they charge a tenner now, people are suggesting we charge £9.
So on Average gates for both of us at say 500 are really we are suggesting that John Hill gets £500 a week less in wages budget that Gary Hackett

I don't think it's as black and white as that old git!
For example I see the entry price at the Grove as £10. I pay my £8 in and then give £2 to the golden goal.
I can see a lot of people doing that. Although could be completely wrong of course!
Whereas if next season went up to £10 (I'm getting a season ticket but this is what I would do) I would just give £10 entrance fee and have no change for golden goal.
Also I bet we make a lot more from the James Grove bar than they do with their Pavilion or what ever tin pot facility they have to wet the vocal chords.

I certainly wouldn't have a problem paying a tenner as you know what you are going to get from our lot, never say die, that in itself is worth the admission fee.
Raiden that's where them lot up the road are going wrong, they probably don't like going in that old tin pot facility that's why they only sing one song, their vocal chords aren't lubricated enough !

Totally agree, we need to give John Hill the best possible foundation next season if we are to compete.old git wrote:So just to put this into perspective a bit.

I had not seen post re Sourbridge £10 as was at same time as i was posting mine.
I would pay a tenner (season ticket last season and next) and still buy a golden goal. I know some won't.
I think OAPs should pay the same rate as an adult. They get the same enjoyment and some get even more than me.
Would an increase in gate money mean an automatic increase in players wages budget?
Would an increase in budget bring in any qaulity "team" players?
Hacket and Sourbridge have enjoyed higher gates most matches the last couple of seasons, good income from FA Cup games\runs yet he and his players have blown the playoffs last two seasons running.
Can't compare the mighty Yeltz and John Hill with Hackett and Sourbridge.
We were and are now again the bigger, better club.

Re: Season Tickets 2014/15
Surely those that paid the £8 last season to get in should be thinking that we are now going to be in a higher league for a start, to compete in this league we will need additions to the squad if we do want to get bigger and better, we cannot afford to stand still, we have achieved greatness next season, now for new targets !
I would encourage anyone who is unsure of paying the extra £2 that gates will be higher next season, should be more atmosphere at home games and even more away fans than last season, the players need our help as it's going to be a tougher league. Everyone should be excited for the new season and even if they don't agree with the price hike think of it as it's going to help us kick onwards and upwards.

I seem to recall there was uproar and absentees a couple of years ago when those two clowns put it up to £10. , and we were at the same level as we have now reached. Not as it concerns me unless JC has his way. - Just saying.

i think an increase of a pound this coming season then another increase the following might be an idea. i personally would not have a problem paying ten. but new fans we have attracted the last couple a months might be put off by a two pound increase
