Does that rant mean that you are a George Cross?KenR wrote:Well firstly Brother (Lariat) Avery has to go Mr Westy. And it has come to my attention that you have been awarding "Georges" a bit willy nilly (are they members?) so I'm affraid you 've got to go as well even though you have done some sterling work as our away mascot. And then there is anyone who encouraged our brother so that's Doc, Lord Lutters and AVFC. I'd better stop there or we won't have anyone at our next home match.

Anyone expecting, asking, or demanding a 'George' in my opinion should be given nothing other than a ban from this page! Maybe it should be called a 'Suarez' or a 'Savage'?KenR wrote:Well firstly Brother (Lariat) Avery has to go Mr Westy. Such vitriol! As a predictor of our meteorological conditions only, i fail to see the link between me and the conditions themselves. I can no more start them or stop them than anyone else (though fish references may have to end). If the waters will come, they will come, i'm not King Canute you know....

Leek and Coalville still both on according to NPL. A couple of results in our favour would be nice.

I suspect that to be an untruth Mr Westwood. According to my 'Build Your Own Ark' 1937 reference book no planning permission is required.Westyeltz wrote:I'm currently awaiting Planning Permission or my Ark - based on your bl**dy predictions!

Aren't you both right? It was correct that in 1937 there was no restriction on ark building, but it was introduced under the Town and Country Planning Act 1944 because of the anticipated post war shortage of wood - specifically a shortage of 2 by 2Andy wrote:I suspect that to be an untruth Mr Westwood.
