This morning I have been informed of the very sad news that our former player Jack Hadlington passed away yesterday after serious illness.
Jack scored one of our goals when we reached the FA Cup 1st Round Proper in 1955 for the first time in our history, losing 2-4 at home to Hendon in front of 4,000 fans.
Jack, in recent seasons, was thrilled to make return visits to The Grove and he is in the centre of the picture below.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
