Re: Birmingham Senior Cup 2nd Round
As I remember, we were all stood behind the goal and we decided, as Snapper stepped up, that the safest place to hide would be in the net.

Re: Birmingham Senior Cup 2nd Round
I seem to recall beating them 2-0 in the 80's in a cup/vase match (?). Richard Heath and his fashionable moustache scored a very rare belter. Great times!!

Re: Birmingham Senior Cup 2nd Round
The ‘tache was a strong look in our ‘80s team - Caldicott, Penner, Mark Lacey, Paul and a whispy effort from Rhoder, plus the full job from “Sir” Johnny Woodhouse and a goatee upon which I’ve based my own look from “the ageless wonder”, Les Randle.
I always thought that Lacey would have suited a full beard à la Mickey Droy, giving him the appearance of a fur covered Land Rover.

Mark Lacey. A man slower in pace than Sir John and with half his ability but nonetheless, a big useful fella on the fringes of that great team.

Heresey!
I am lead to believe that Mr Lacey was going through the pockets of an old suit and found Les Ferdinand.

Lol. Quite possibly. Just remember him being a big lad, and I thought, slightly overweight and bugger all else. Certainly my fangaze was drawn elsewhere up the field. Just did a check in the archives and my memory is obviously crap. But then I was only early teens.

Mark Lacey - 2 Wembley starts, 1 in Brum Sen Final at Molineux v Dudley, 3 FA Cup 1st Round.
Did injuries limit his appearances? Certainly when he went off in that unforgettable New Year's Eve FA Vase defeat at Denaby, we seemed doomed to defeat.
Top central defender goalscorer with 33? Any offers? Steve Pope close with 28

BSC Tamworth 2 Yeltz 2 (2-3 on pens)10 February 1998
Our only away win in the league (so far?) came there, and now The Yeltz stormed into the quarter-finals of the B'ham Senior Cup with an exciting win on penalties against Tamworth.
We twice came from behind to force extra-time with goals from Crisp and Piearce - the latter in injury time - and won 3-2 on penalties with goals from Kevin, Pie-arce and Crisp (Snapper missed his). We're away to Paget in the quarters.
