It isn't a case of me having a short memory, but of enjoying the fact that we came through it and there is a "feelgood" factor back at HTFC. There are quite a few newcomers to the forum, and The Grove, who are not going to let another team's misfortune stop them going to Northwich.

Just enjoy the here and now!
Your Lordship,

there are plenty on this forum extoling the virtues of our humble little club, which I fully endorse. However, there are issues in the game that need speaking out against, not sweeping under your noble shagpile.

I'm pleased that you can reconcile the past and the present in your own mind. But as Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it"

So as you say, enjoy the here and now and presumably bugger the game of football and the future including fish stocks, the natural habitats of the planet and the ozone layer.

Yours in deference,

CB

So what Colin Bobble is sayin' like is not travel to NV on Saturday to watch our team because of summat that is happening at another club... out of principle? Tosh!
And what good would our boycott of 60-odd fans do to remedy the situation? It certainly wouldn't help out NV and most certainly wouldn't help out our players who love us following 'em. Can you imagine Barny turning round and saying, "HTFC had no support today so it didn't really help the team out, but me and the lads and the gaffer understand why..."

Well I'm going, and I'm getting p!ssed 8)

Please don't feel anyone from Northwich wants you to boycott the game - half the grounds in football would be empty if we all took the moral ground.

No, as you can guess, there is a lot of ill feeling at our end and a wish to see justice of some sort done. However, I only ask you to count the gate for us.

And I hope you win!! ;)

No, what I was actually implying was, as a matter of principle not to travel to Stafford. Remember, they got shafted worse that we did, they didn't even come out of this mess with a ground.

I don't remember implying any of this would help NV, they are already dead in the water, doomed to Flixton even if they survive the season at Stafford. Whatever happens they will never return to Northwich. As it happened we got stuffed by a team with 'mysterious' funding and whose Chairman has got where he is today by writing off over £1m in debt. Remember this trail of debt includes individuals, local businesses as well as HMRC.

I wonder what Barny actually said?
