Re: Banbury Updates
very very poor game for 70 mins but after we got the goal we played with more freedom and our fitness levels definitely showed in the last 10 and we could have run out 4 or 5 goal winners in the end.
Thought the Centre back paring were immense today and gave us a solid platform.
One thing though, why the hell was the pitch so dry? We have had a dry sunny week and seems like no water had been put on it.
Playing a big tall team a bobbily dry pitch with every ball bouncing 10 foot was not ideal for us. A slick wet pitch and Im sure we could have played some better football
Still another 3 points on the board and another clean sheet.
Well done lads

Re: Banbury Updates
The first half was poor, but there was certainly more intensity in the second half.
I thought Butterfield was very good and controlled the game and passed really well.
With so many chances to wrap up the game, I thought we could rue the near misses, but actually the game management in the last 15 minutes was good, and Banbury never had any real opportunities.

Well as luck wouldnt have it, I had to leave early to go to work. Literally, the second I got out the gate, we scored. Whether I am an albatross or someone needs to urinate in all four corners of the ground, is awaiting assessment.

It’s not going to be pretty for the rest of the season in my eyes… results over performances being the priority and I don’t mind it.. nothing better than the winning feeling even if it is hard to commentate on rubbish games

Awful first half. Attacking quality with more pace and urgency showed in the second half. Not the greatest of performances but three points and with other results going in our favour foe some daft reason we find ourselves in with a chance again. What a wonderful and exciting season! To warm for football today though.

Willets had a bit of a lucky escape as he did quite a risky challenge by the dugouts when he was already on a yellow. And Wynter getting cautioned so early was far from ideal too. But we survived (for change).

It would have been a travesty if we hadn't won but I'm not not entirely sure how Platty coming for the bill, missing it, and pole-axing their striker wasn't a penalty.
