Trophy format

Seems to have changed. Today was the 4th round proper. When we went on our run to the semi final there wasn't a 4th round. After the 3rd round it was the 1/4 finals. There will actually be a 5th round as well before the quarter final stage. It does appear though that the extra preliminary round that we started in has gone. Even taking that into account there are now 12 rounds ( including the final) instead of 11. Makes a run like ours seem less likely than ever to happen again.

Obviously a run like ours will be difficult but Sittingbourne FC are into the next round today as the lowest team left in the competition
