On Twitter. Has decided to leave the Yeltz to join a club higher up the league pyramid.

I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. A great striker who deserves his chance. Good luck and thanks for the memories.

I assumed he’d left to a much bigger club - which wouldn’t have surprised me - but Rushall???

This is baffling. That's the second one gone now to SMALLER clubs. That's not showing ambition on their part to move up one step to sides that won't even do well. They could have carried on the unfinished business with us and made names for themselves that way. Gutted, but stuff 'em. Hopefully Paul can find quality replacements, in him we trust.

Don’t disagree to an extent, but guess if they have ambitions to play up the pyramid they may see step 3 as a better shop window. With relatively short careers, losing 18 months to bat flu/crazy Wuhan scientist and a smashed vial possibly focuses the mind a bit more.

Rushall, what great career prospects........... they're always moving players on to the football league.............. ;D

Rarely works out when players do this, we've no non-league giants, but we're relatively doing alright as a club and fan base etc, I'll be interested to see where both Yates and Simeon end up after this season. I could go back 30 years and give you examples of players doing this who end up way below where we are / were........... give me an hour........... ;)

My views align with the rest of the comments. I can accept that players are going to move on - just wouldn't have thought that Rushall are the stature of club we'd be losing a key player to. In fairness to Rushall (and Alvechurch too), they're looking to do their business early and have made some good signings. The Southern League is going to be very competitive this year.

Back to ourselves - we still have a wealth of attacking options and I suspect we will line up with one central striker supported by a couple of wide attackers. I notice Chris Lait and Mikey Taylor have both departed Bromsgrove and I wonder if they could be persuaded this way by the ex-Sporting contingent in the squad. They would both seemingly fit the system.

Definitely no need for concern - the players that have committed for the coming season are the mainstay of the squad, and the additions made so far are very encouraging.

Not sure we have a wealth of attacking options anymore piearce9. Molly is a dead cert but we are rapidly losing our speed merchant support act. We've still got the best of the 3 in Holmes, I hope he here for the foreseeable.

Yatesy and Simi are big losses, both great players. However this isn’t like when we lost Ben 10 and you’ve got to try and plug the gap for 40 goals a season. Still plenty of strike power and talent in this squad and I’m sure we’ll be looking to bring in one or two attackers before the season starts. I’m not worried.
