So vivid in my memory, I know it was early 1987
Truly the end of an era and surpasses Denaby for nightmare from that Vase period
We rarely enjoyed playing Leek there too.

Not too bad though that we can remember only two badduns from that 5/6 year period.
(My therapist still won’t let me talk about VS).

I often think Denaby was 1984 as it was the only non-Wembley year in four between 83 & 86 but continuing the pedantry it was New Year's Eve 1983.
I've recently bought the excellent book The Cemetery End which is about football grounds and stands, league & non-league, that have been lost over 25 years period. Denaby is in there and a surprisingly good number of other that I've visited.
