Please. Someone from the club must be reading these comments. It would be great if they came on here to offer an thought on this. The history is maintained, it is obvious whose badge it is for commercial reasons, it looks good and it would still be OURS. After complaining on saturday i will be the first to come down and shake whoevers hand i need to if this mess can be sorted.

Another vote for Poll's design.

I do like the principle of the circular design but Poll's looks much better than the party hat version.

Poll wrote:Thought I'd have a quick go at my idea of combining the old and the new - it's been a slow day.

My graphic skills aren't strong, but in principle it's not bad, especially if the church could be made whiter and a bit more distinct or less fiddly (I only had an old copy of the logo and to be honest don't really know what I'm doing!)

Still no thoughts from the club. Everybody seems to love it, surely a good way forward.

it may be a good idea to perhaps send an email on the address provided at the bottom of the press release about the crest as strictly this forum is unofficial if you get my meaning.

Mr Poll’s design would get my vote much better than the iced gem.

In fairness, as much as I like the idea of combining new and old, I wouldn't say half a dozen or so posters on this forum constitutes 'everyone'!

A lot of people like the current new badge, too.

I do think it'd be good for the club to release a statement or at least acknowledge the fans' view!

I'm a fan of the new badge, as previously stated, but I do feel the release of the badge could've been handled better.

I believe that the club should've announced there will be a new badge and either give fans the option of a number of designs (as mentioned previously) or at least announce the idea, take on board feedback then use that feedback to set in stone the new badge.

I do feel that the club can still come out of this new badge drama in a positive light. If they take onboard the negative comments and maybe redesign the new badge, ever so slightly, in that the church looks more like our church then everyone wins and it shows that the club cares about the fans and their views.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing, though.

Since Poll has posted I make it 10 for and you undecided. Seems popular to me!

Make that eleven in favour.

Well done Brother pollard of the Diplomatic Corps! :)

Just a thought, but could the letters F and C be added each side of the church steeple?!! ;) ;) ::)
