It would be a shame if after only one season in the NPl we end up going south. As well as the team have undoubtedly done this year it has also been a transitional season with many new places to visit and new teams to play. Going into the Southern we'd almost be starting again as there will no doubt be new teams since last time the Yeltz were there.

From those who've been going for a while they've commented on how much better organised the NPL is and the clubs we've been too have been friendlier. Surely moving Kings Lynn to the Isthmian League and then finding a team from there to go south will be better suited. Separating us and Dourbridge is not the most practical!
just a comment relating to organisation on the front page of this week's nonleague paper there is an article about the Southern league ordering a match to be replayed after an abandonment due to the referee being hit by a bottle. The decision was announced last Wednesday 160 days after the incident so not exactly timely! Obviously if we go south we go south but I definitely found the organisation of the Northern Premier league to be better and more thought out not having to travel a great long distance on Tuesday night for instance but moving that particular match to a Saturday when we due to play which was nearer and instead moving that game to a Tuesday.

I would be absolutely gutted to go into the Southern. Really enjoying the majority of away days in the North.

I am the same, find the northerners friendlier, more passionate and knowledgable about the game, but that's only my experiences !

By the looks of things we could be staying in the North...

It changes every week, but admittedly that's the first time I've seen us stay north. Barwell must be delighted with that! They struggle with crowds anyway!

If Brackley, Gloucester or Leamington go down from Conference North, we'll stay south, but we may shift if Colwyn Bay or Gainsborough Trinity go down.

I think returning south offers somewhat easier accessibility, despite the potential long treks to Truro, Bideford and Weymouth.

Depending on who goes up from our division, there will be very long trips north to Workington, Blyth, Whitby, possibly Darlington etc. along with the problematic M6 trips north, which won't be eased by games at Salford, Hyde and Stalybridge.

Good points made about going south, but i think we could do without another season of 'new teams'. We know about clubs a little more now. That said, it might be that with the conference north teams coming down, Blyth's TV money it'll be an even tougher league next season. The gates are also a bit better in the North than the south.

I've enjoyed the new grounds in the Northern League but much prefer travelling down M5, M40 and especially M50 to Merthyr. So it's a return to the Southern for me.

Should Stourbr*dge, for what ever reason, not stay or move north / south with us it's going to be a hit financially, I'd assume, in comparison to this season. Especially as we won't have the FC Utd gate money either.

So I just hope what ever happens, we'd be in the same league as Stourbr*dge.

Tbh I've enjoyed the Northern league and would prefer to stay.

Had no issues with Northern league and travel this season always found alternatives when necessary.
