Re: other matches sat 1st
Leek seem to have done what Coalville did last season. Coalville on the other hand will surely not want to do it twice, and coming from behind there will be less pressure. All we can ask from our players is the same endeavour as has been shown so far, keeping thier heads up when the odd game goes against us, and then who knows. The margins in football can be slight, so the odd rub of the green for any side can make all the difference. After all the rotten luck we've put up with over the last few years it might just be our turn.

The thing that impresses me most about this management team and players is that if we don't get where we want, we know it won't be for the want of trying.andy wrote:Leek seem to have done what Coalville did last season. It would be great if we could get a huge travelling support at Gresley next week, their support is quite good so we could really do with the boys seeing a large number of us make the journey next week.

Over the years, as Brother Avery recently pointed out, we've had some great battles against Gresley and we usually get a warm welcome there.
The Gaffer in one of my local pubs (The Colville Arms, Lullington - 5 miles from the ground) played for Gresley and has fond memories of playing against the Joiners, and always shows a keen interest in our fortunes.
Last year I went along via The Rising Sun next to the ground (recommended pre-match drinking), and of course missed the kick off.
However, on approaching the gate I enquired of the admission fee only to be charged the OAP's price.
Bu***r me, I was only 51 !!!

Not letting on, I gave him the fiver - that'll teach 'em to take the p**s!
See you all next week.
