We could have easily been 3 up with a bit of luck

Good game. On another day we would have won that. Not sure on the front line yet, but its only one game Ive seen. Gregs looked intelligent again for the short time he was on. Eze was my MOTM.
Im changing all my Fantasy Island results to draws.

Far the better side for me. 2 mistakes have cost us the win. Once it all really clicks I don't think we should fear anybody. We'll be just fine in this league. We play some nice football and if we can get some final balls to Miracle I think we'll start getting a few more goals. Agree about Ezewele, outstanding. And Wynter too. Onwards.

That's a good start to the season considering the opponents so far, although I know Kettering had lost their first three games.

The table won't start to take real shape for a few weeks and Mickleover are the only team with 100% so far.

Also some results seem topsy-turvy at this stage as I just noticed Needham Market thrashed Coalville (who just missed out on promotion) 6-1; so an exact reverse of their 6-1 defeat on the opening day.

We were definitely by far the better side, I was stopped on the car park by a Kettering fan who wished us a safe journey back and apologised for robbing us of 3 pts.

He also mentioned that they were struggling for money despite getting crowds of 900+ said he doesn’t know how teams with 300 gates can manage.

I thought it was a good crowd. Certainly bigger than my last visit there 5 years ago.
Always seem a decent lot.

Strange. They are a decent lot. How can they be SO different from their beloved Jock neighbours? Or have I just answered my own question?.....

Agree about the Kettering lot - very nice folk albeit the atmosphere was quite quiet (their side) despite reasonable numbers. I guess they’d have a better pull if they were in the town centre.

Mega frustrating to draw today - we played bloody well again and can’t really fault any individual performances. Two up top worked well - both look so dangerous. The league table doing a disservice at the moment.

Just on our fans - brilliant support. Loud, proud, numerous and colourful. Away days with this club are superb to be a part of.
