As an aside to the massive sidebar that we’re already on, who was the other ex-Bluenose who Hally signed at more or less the same time as Harding?
From memory, squat, bald, midfield, equally immobile, played about twice.
I’ve a hazy memory of a sort of old man’s first name and a surname that begins with a vowel.
Undoubtedly wrong on both counts.

The sort of name that's slowly surfacing from my consciousness is something like "Sam Odsall"
Keep in mind though that this is very wrong.
