I must admit I feared today's match a little. Bedworth were stubborn as usual in the first half but after the break we saw them off comfortably. Bunn again magnificent at the heart of a good midfield and an all round decent performance from the lads. We can't affect results anywhere else so let's keep winning and ensure 2nd place is ours at the minimum and hope for slip ups elsewhere.

Bunn was Caskey-esque in midfield. Ran the show. If he hadn't left, or if he'd come back sooner, we'd have won the league by now.

Not the most entertaining of games but 3 points at the end of it was all that mattered.
Had the guy scored with a free header in the first 2 minutes things could have been very different.
Bedworth came with a very good game plan and it really seemed to confuse us till we got what I thought was a very soft penalty. (Hope to get some video of it)
After that expected Bedworth to change plan but they seemed to have no inclination to attack us.
A stonewall penalty and cracking finish saw us home.
Onto next week and all we can hope for is Bedworth are as stubborn and can some hoe do us a favour and we do our part to take it to the wire

Agree Bunn was excellent and much more impressed with Morris than a couple of games ago, but wonder why Kelly not in the 11 ? presume an injury??

Well done lads

Penalty was right in front of me. Thought it was nailed on.

All we can do is keep winning and who knows?

Just goes to show how your angle of the incident gives a totally different perspective. The ref thought it was so that's all that matters ;D

I thought yesterday was all about patience. The way Bedworth set up as if to say, right, you come and break us down, which we did. You can only beat what's in front of you and we did, and as a fan that's all you can ask. A professional performance, in my opinion, onto Belper next Saturday.

Great turnout for Geoff on Saturday, and nice pics from Steve Evans of his friends and teammates.
A combination of my age and their age is leaving me struggling to recognise too many though.

I can see, from L to R ish, Don Smith, Malcolm, Lee and Paul, and Phil Caldicott. Anyone spot any others?

Cant say I recognise them. I think John Woodhouse's other half is the lady with the red hair. Who is the fella with the white hair and mustard(?) coloured coat. He was always around the club in the 80's/ now but not sure who he is and always wondeed

Steve Shilvock, Johnny Bucknall and former committee man Roger Wood. John Rhodes is there somewhere but I cannot decide which he is.
