Two big home games coming up now
Got to be happy with any victory I guess, especially away from home. As you say 2 home games now, and that probably worries me more. Our only 2 defeats in the league were at home, as was the Handsworth game, so we need to be right at it and hopefully 6 points will follow. Interestingly Ilkestons only defeats were also at home and Coleshill have a far superior points tally away also. I guess a home game for them with their roaring 'twelfth man' is hardly an advantage though....😂

Anyone else think it odd to have a physio at the ground but then they don’t do the treatments?! Notwithstanding the obvious, something isn’t right.

But hey ho… three points is three points, even if we were somewhat suboptimal.

I wasn’t there today but this is a huge win, we need to follow it up with wins against Soham and Daventry though

Their supporters said we were the best team been there this season, and if the game had been 3 weeks ago before they brought in 4 new defenders that it would have been a a San Marino.

Incredibly generous of the Histon fans - I thought we made hard work of that today. The goal was quite fortunate and there were very few good chances aside from that.

We played 3-5-2 with three centre backs and two wing backs. Manning stood out again - he’s been on excellent form. Otherwise it was a little sluggish and things didn’t really “click”. Might be different back at The Grove next week.

Only other comment was how bloody lovely all the Histon folk were. Really lovely club and kinda gutting that they’re bottom of the table and not better supported. Hope they start to pick up from here.

Agree with all of this. Also excellent food. Was there a fortnight ago for Cambridge Khalsa (long story) and partook in the fish finger baguette, and conclusion was that this should be done at more non league grounds. The other conclusion from that day was that Ian Rowe is a less than lovely chap, but that’s another story.

Yeah I did try the food and it was really good! Sutton have a good menu too, one of the few reasons to look forward to visiting their ground ;)

Can’t disagree on Rowe either. Very angry bloke. Would be surprised if he hasn’t made Luke Yates cry already.

For many years now we have occasion where we have an apprentice sports therapist, there learning the ropes, happened for the last few sports therapists we've had.......... nothing to see here
