I'll post full thoughts later/tomorrow morning. But I can't recall the last game where I feel like we should have lost, but should have won simultaneously.

Carlton are a good team, let's just acknowledge that right off the bat.

Disappointing to say goodbye to the 100% record but very important to remain unbeaten, especially as we had to dig deep late on to grab an equaliser.

Admittedly I arrived late but sounds as though we were on the back foot for much of the first half and Carlton surprised me, if I’m being honest - they were really fired up.

We missed a couple of key players tonight and the subs failed to make quite enough impact. On another day, however, we’d have won that game and we’d all be commenting about our strength in depth.

Others may have a different view but, of these three home games, I see Handsworth as the main one. So hopefully we are back to full strength and the manager gets to choose his strongest side.

Overall, a fair result in the end against a very tough organised and physical side. As Josh mentioned we could have won the game but lost the game too.

We had to dig in deep to get that result and we needed an improvement in the second half after a very poor first half. The changes were needed, bringing on Jack gave us more pace and energy and gave us a lift.

Other teams would have threw in the towel after going 2-1 behind so well done to the players for not giving up and forcing the equaliser.

We had to do it ourselves as we got nothing from the ref who to put it mildly was absolutely shocking!

Whilst our 100% record has gone it was important not to lose though against a team who will be up there come the end of the season no doubt.

Most people seem to agree with you, money, possible big draw, etc. Personally I just see it as a free hit Saturday and would like to see as many players rested as possible. It showed tonight with injuries we have got, we have not necessarily got the squad depth we thought. The league is priority and is not, it seems, going to be an easy ride.

I agree, for me the cup game is important, as a win leaves us 2 rounds from one of the pinnacles of a non-league team's season.

I didn't realise the player who bagged a brace for them has also been credited with our equaliser.
