And the ref gets worse. Belper score from penalty. Never ever was.

Great result. Proper had to grind that one out. Comfortable without being completly convincing.

To be fair to Belper they stifled us with their 5 in midfield for much of the game. They were difficult to break down. Took 2 good goals to win it in the end due to the referees incompetence in giving them a penalty. It got a bit scrappy at 2-1 for the remaining 10 or so minutes and in hindsight leaving Molineux on as a hard working outlet may have made it easier for us. Still another cracking 3 points against a difficult side. Well done lads!!!

I thought we played really poorly today by our usual standards but fair play to the lads for digging in and getting the win.
2 pieces of quality for both goals and 2 excellent saves from Platty made the difference.
Holmes didn't seem on it today and maybe that was what affected us a bit?
Thought Finn had a really good game and never stopped running.
Still 4 out of 4 and another big game Monday to try and keep this run going.

Well done lads ;D

Certainly don't think we played poorly! Teams are not going to just roll over for us and let us put on a show every week. In the end we found a way to beat a stubborn side and but for their dubious penalty it would have felt a lot more comfortable.

Agreed that they came with a plan to stifle us and think in the main it worked for them.
Our passing didnt seem as crisp and quick as we have got used to.
Cant see how we didnt get a penalty shortly before the on given to them which to me seemed a 50-50 challenge
Guess its what the last few seasons have got us expecting, certainly not complaining and would be happy to watch us win every week like that.

Yes it's a good win as teams will try to stifle.

I don't think the teams that we have played so far will be vying near the top, but it's great to keep the 100% record going.

Our next opponents got a drubbing today, but I hope we don't assume they will roll over.

As an aside, I saw Stourbr*dge were involved in a high scoring game...but they lost 8-4.

I know next week is a cup game and I'm not really fussed if we go out early, but it will be interesting to see what we may be up against in the league against another top side.

Ref was shocking IMHO … bad enough he missed the penalty where the defender pulled it back with BOTH hands ….but that one he gave …….. speechless >:(
