Disappointing result, although not a bad performance as mentioned but losing to these twice in consecutive weeks makes it worse though.

As mentioned earlier the league is of course the priority but a bit of a shame after our Trophy exploits last season to bow out so soon this time.

Overall though yes we’ve had some bad luck with injuries but aside from that that this squad is more than good enough. We MUST be at it in the league from now on, no more excuses.

Decent enough performance. Don’t really look like scoring goals (nor did they really- looked like an individual error for their goal) but didn’t play badly. More concerning is that that’s now just one win in seven so three points very much needed against Daventry!

Cup runs are alright as a side issue and some extra cash, but that's it.
We're in an ok position in the league, THE SEASON STARTS NOW!

Josh, just looking at Kev's photos. That wouldn't be your mate Hagrid with the chips would it?

Also get some good days out, but if you can’t have those days, you’re not really missing out! Totally agree with this sentiment though- everything before now has just been the opening scenes; the real business now begins.

Really good photos, Kev.

Yes, Andy. That is indeed the myth, the legend, that is Hagrid. He had a word with us for chanting, again.

Foreign territory for Paul Smith - three losses on the bounce - but I think we can safely say the injury list is the biggest issue at the moment. We have all the right players, we just need to get them back fit and firing again.

I think Paul needs to grab a strong drink and a fresh piece of paper - draw a line under this last week and plan out what we need to do to win the league from the next 33 games. We HAVE to get out of this dire league and return to Step 3 for next season.

As fans as well, we have to accept this is going to be a long slog and there won’t be the hoopla of last season. We all need to pull towards the one goal- get behind the team, get our form back, and get ourselves to the top of the league.
