Funny enough, I was just reading the match report/ comments on that one. Almost identical. Non descript til we made three subs

I half expected Barton to “give some back” on the final whistle today but they didn’t. I was impressed with them and wouldn’t be surprised if they’re challenging toward the top of the table this season.
Aah, I thought I had seen somewhere we were playing Corby/Soham in something. Didn't realise the Trophy was underway today.fairweatherfan wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 17:53FA Trophy (we have Corby away next I believe after they dispatched Soham 3-0).
Remembering it was Barton at home last season where Bowen danced in front of their keeper after their time wasting proved fruitless late on. Strong and awkward I’d describe them today.
Great. So we now have the happy Glaswegians away 2 Saturdays running.andy wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 18:04Aah, I thought I had seen somewhere we were playing Corby/Soham in something. Would love to know why he’s not playing? He’d get in over Carter any day of the week.fairweatherfan wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 15:34Agreed. Anyone else spotted a very grumpy looking James Bowen in casuals?
Absolutely! But there was no long ball stuff today until the last 5 minutes, if anything we overplayed it. Barton won't be far away come the end and we will still steamroller some teams. If every week was like last week we would have no players left anyway, I believe Barca have a scout living on Hawne Lane......410viawednesbury wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 19:25I believe that the key to promotion, this season, is patience, on everyone's part. I think that it maybe that teams have "worked out" how Halesowen play and therefore the manager is working out a plan B with the squad he's got. I,personally, am not a fan of the direct football as I don't think it suits the team.....but you can understand why the manager has tried to mix up the play so as to keep the opposition guessing. Last season saw Halesowen steamroller teams and if covid hadn't hit when it did we wouldn't be having this conversation now
but it did and we are! I believe the squad and manager will work it as the season's a marathon not a sprint.
In Paul we trust.
