Yaxley like last season tried to play the game the right way, which gave us plenty of space. Barton if I recall from last season kept virtually all their team behind the ball, next week should be a different test.

Never had time to catch your breath. What a performance. Pointless singling any player out but I'm going to anyway. Quite a way for Gregory to signal his intent to lead the line amid all the competition, great goals and performance. On another day Simmo would have had many more than his one, but Yaxley didn't know what to do with him all afternoon. The football through the midfield was sublime and despite a couple of 'moments' defensive wise, we were never in any trouble whatsoever. I so, so hope this season isn't destroyed like last year (but I'm not holding my breath) because it could be a stormer.
Fantastic lads.👏

Well full time ended up what it could've been at half time.
It was tremendously entertaining.

Yaxley started ok but we were just much better and quicker all round. Some of their defending was fairly non-existent at times especially towards the end but it's not surprising when you've been given the run-around.

It was great to see live football in the sunshine. Also the large majority observed the rule of 6 , although I do think some could've done better.

I'm just pleased to be unbeaten in the league so far this season 😉

Interesting to see the attendances at other games. Elsewhere, only Corby reached the maximum of 400..but they lost.

The other crowds in the division didn’t seem to be much of an increase on their usual levels, which is maybe a bit surprising. Wantage only got 90, but they beat Welwyn 2-0!

I think about 400 of us could have done better. Let's be honest at things like this it's down to pure luck and nothing more.

Great performance and could quite easily have been double figures.

Having been at today’s match and the Kiddy and Kettering friendlies I have to say that Manning has been a revelation at left back and I’m looking forward to seeing his goal on YeltzTv

I'm going to "stick my neck out" and say this:
I can't see Ali playing centre half all season.
I still think the manager is working on, who and where, given the size of his squad.

No I thought it a strange one given Carter was on the bench, but I’m sure there was sound logic to it. Think today dispelled any notions he’s going to do a Desailly and successfully move backwards, although if you’d told me Manning would be a gun left back nine months ago, I’d have said you were mad (which is why Paul Smith is a successful manager while I write drivel about stuff I don’t fully understand).

Agreed.
Also I'm going to stick my neck out and say this season is between us and Wantage. ;D
