Attendance tonight 304. Very disappointing. It's all well and good having more than that at Corby and 4 coaches going to Halifax for frankly a less meaningful game, the team deserve better support for bread and butter games like tonight as well.
I couldn't make it tonight as I had another commitment and I think the rearranging of so many games obviously doesn't help fans to plan. Some floating supporters could've been at the big semi final as well!

Three points is all that matters and by the sound of it, tonight's game may be the shape of things to come with teams setting out to frustrate wherever possible.

I stand to be corrected but midweek games tend to pull fewer in. Could be a multitude of reasons. Given we have a lot of senior supporters, I'd imagine the cold put a few off. But yeah, would have been nice to have a few more. However, Villa at home in a semi, may have taken a few and I'm sure I saw some band wagons, heading up Manor Way earlier ;)

Possibly. But lets not forget Thame are just outside the top 5 so a result would have been important for them. As I said earlier, they were well organised with that in mind I think.

Also worth bearing in mind no McCone, Bunn and that’s the first time I can remember Montel not starting. There are a lot of games left and managing what must be an already knackered squad will be an important part of prevailing come the end of the season.

Is it just me that finds wins like last night more satisfying than a 5-0 win?

Thame were probably the most organised league side I've seen this season, and I was impressed with the patience we showed.

To beat a side pushing for the play off places with, let's be honest, a much weakened side, is impressive. It also shows the depth of our squad. You could argue that Parsons, McCone, Bunn and Hewitt are the core of our strongest side. And we won without any of them featuring.

I felt like we struggled with what looked like a 442,to me. The two full backs didn't seem to get forward enough, and we lost a lot of width, which we usually get in the 352, when Bowen overlaps down the left hand side. Going 3 up top, late on, seemed to help us no end.

A very pleasing result.

They may have but I cant remember them tbh!!
And I still cant remember it even after the match report :-\
The one off the bar had been flagged offside.
Wasn't that flag for the player it rebounded to? If not, I stand corrected! >:D

Then I stand corrected. I just thought everybody seemed to stop temporarily and then I saw the flag. They must have been admiring the effort!

How would anyone know that? The lino's were so far behind the play, I thought he was flagging for offside in the second half at Corby! ;)
