Interesting read in their local rag, first link suggests they'll take it seriously but the league is bread and butter.......... (he's no idea that we have played them before (2006-07), he thinks our pitch is a shit tip, but apart from that he's a lovely West Ham bloke)

and the second link suggests their season aspirations come down to two months:-

Oh, and they have 3 players suspended tomorrow who normally feature, Comley, Kelly and Steer. {Comley is only suspended from league games}

Patronising tw@. At least it means that they probably haven't had us watched.

mind you it should be a shit tip if not for the sterling, and often miraculous work of Ant, because by my reckoning tomorrow will be the 48th game on the pitch this season, and the fifth so far in the 11 days of January :o :o :o :o and on top of that there has been training and academy trials.

I suppose at least he's taking us seriously, putting out a strong team and mentioning our recent record. Very disrespectful about our pitch though, I bet there are pitches they've played on in the National League that couldn't hold a candle to ours (cheers Ant ;) ). I just hope it's s good game and we don't disgrace ourselves in front of any curious neutrals who may wish to return. With a following wind and us playing as we are capable of, if they have an off day, who knows. Three divisions is a massive step but if we play to our potential it's one we can bridge.
Come on lads!

It’s a big day. Not a glamorous tie really, compared to a league club in The FAC1 or even an El Busico, but a big day.
As discussed elsewhere, we’ve never beaten a Conference side in a proper competitive fixture, so.....
I’ve certainly got my obsession back and we’ve earned it after the last few years.
The result tomorrow doesn’t really matter but as a one-off where a lot of old stagers will have made the pilgrimage back to Old Hawne Lane, it’s a big, big day.
Bring it on!

Buzzing for tomorrow!! Think that’s the difference this season - there’s so much positivity and confidence. I think under previous management we were beat before we got there as they used to talk us down and give us no hope. Paul Smith is so meticulous in his preparation and his aura breeds confidence into the side.

Well summed up Doc, it’s not a glamorous tie but it’s massive for us. I think our biggest in years and I think very much a winnable one.
