Absolutely crazy. 9 games in January and a tenth on the 1st February! Possibly next round of the Trophy and the BSC against Burton to shoehorn in as well. 4 games only in March. The league officials need their arses kicking.

on a plus side, if we win all 9 we'll have probably won the league

<goes for a lie down>

I reckon Daventry away will make way for Burton at home. Or we could play it on any free Thursday in January? ;D

Interesting to see Hednesford have pulled out of the Staffs Senior Cup after not being able to get their tie with Tamworth played due to their fixture pile up.

It's silly that teams feel like they need to pull out of competitions due to the stupid scheduling.

I recall posting, a while back, that it'd be good to have the Senior Cup competitions played in pre-season.

At least this would alleviate to reduce fixture pile up, and would serve as good competitive competition during pre-season.

I know this'll never happen, mind.

It's a good job that we are in a 20 team league this year! We are already guaranteed 59 games. MINIMUM.

That's a good call Josh, but I too doubt it will ever happen due to the jumped up blazers in the local FA's feeling like they would relinquishing some of their perceived power they hold over the non-league clubs in their regions >:(

Maybe we could play our youth team in the same manner the EPL teams play their kids in the League Cup? Whatever that's called these days ::)

Apart from anything else, the draw for the competition would be a nightmare as the blazers would all be off on their holidays at that time of year ::) ;D
