I think this is a better 5-0 than the previous ones as I think the opposition are better...or were before it started!
I said it was...

Truly, truly fantastic stuff. I don't think you're going to see better football anywhere at the moment. This team has everything, skill, pace, effort the lot. 6-0 up and James Bowen goes on a lung busting run to keep a ball in on the far touchline. Robbie Bunn controlling midfield, Sammo popping gerrard-esq balls all over the park. Every single player giving everything. The only disappointing thing is the numbers through the gate. This team deserves 600+ every home game.

And the rest.

I enjoy watching Yeltz more than Albion, atm.

And Albion are top of the league. Have lost once in the league all seaaon and play great football.

This team deserves 1000+. I'm serious. The consensus between those those that have seen every game is that tonight was the best yet and I can't remember a performance that good since we won at Burton Albion about 20 years ago. There is little more to say, I couldn't pick out an outstanding player as that describes each and every one of them tonight. Simply thank you to the Paul and the whole team for giving us such a memorable night in what has so far been a memorable season. Long may it continue.

I still think the Gateshead performance was better. That was dominant, and against a team above us.

What a conversation to have.

I think what made tonight’s result even better for me was that Bedford were not a bad side at all, but we just overwhelmed them in every department.

BetVictor Southern League - Division One Central – Tuesday, 3rd December 2019

Halesowen Town 6 Bedford Town 0

Halesowen hit Bedford for six of the best in a devastating display of high-energy attacking football. Six different Yeltz goalscorers caused the Eagles to crash to earth in a sparkling home performance that will surely live long in the memory.

James BOWEN calmly side-stepped his marker to fire Halesowen into a 12th minute lead after Ash Sammons, Montel Gibson and Reece Hewitt all combined in a fine, flowing move from the left. Bowen’s excellent 15th minute low strike was then deflected away for a corner and Robbie Bunn’s 19th minute free-kick was beaten away by visiting goalkeeper Connor Coulson. With Bedford under the cosh, Jamie Ashmore struck the side-netting from the right-hand bye-line after 23 minutes.

Leading goalscorer GIBSON soon doubled Halesowen’s lead in the 31st minute after he latched onto a through ball from Sammons and proceeded to turn central defenders Joe Steele and Damien Green with his final shot escaping Coulson’s grasp to find the corner of the net. Gibson ran free on goal again just seconds later and selflessly squared to Jamie Molyneux, only for Coulson to make a great blocking save. In further pressure, Paul McCone’s 36th minute header was caught by Coulson from Bunn’s corner.

Robbie BUNN advanced into space and unleashed a 30 yard swirling shot to make it 3-0 in the 41st minute with the ball slipping through Coulson’s clutches to nestle into the net.

The Eagles were unable to cope with Halesowen’s high tempo football during the first period, although Connor Calcutt turned to deliver a low shot at Brendon Bunn in the 17th minute and Oliver Swain screwed wide after 29 minutes. Just before the interval Brendon Bunn touched Ben Ford’s free-kick over the bar.

There was no let up from the Yeltz as they continued to harry the visitors in a dominant second half. Bunn shaved the outside of the post with another great 25 yard strike in the 53rd minute and the Yeltz soon made it 4-0 with a terrific 56th minute set-piece goal as Robbie Bunn played a right-wing corner for Andy PARSONS to volley home in superb style. Rob EVANS carved open the visitors as he ran straight through from midfield and buried his bullet shot into the bottom corner to notch Halesowen’s fifth goal in the 65th minute. Substitute Simeon Cobourne caused further problems for the visitors and he jinked past his markers to earn a 75th minute corner.

Substitute Jack Vasey planted the ball over the Halesowen bar after 79 minutes after being set up by fellow substitute Nathan Olukanmi in a rare Bedford effort. But there was little respite for the Eagles as an 81st minute free-kick from Robbie Bunn was headed home by substitute Luke YATES to complete the 6-0 scoreline at the conclusion of a terrific, electrifying team performance.

Halesowen Town: Brendon Bunn; Jamie Ashmore, James Bowen, Andrew Parsons, Paul McCone (c), Rob Evans, Ashley Sammons, Robbie Bunn, Montel Gibson (Simeon Cobourne 69), Jamie Molyneux (Luke Yates 69), Reece Hewitt (McKauley Manning 78). Subs Not Used: Jordan Piggott, Josh Hawker.

I thought it was quite good, too!
