Nearly 3. In fairness they have a couple of decent players, in numbers 6 and 10 and can play a bit. We look a bit disjointed.

Won't go down well I guess when the lads obviously want to win every game but I'm glad we're out.
Sorry.....

Understand where you’re coming from. I think of the 4 cup competitions we enter this is probably the lowest in terms of priorities.

Still disappointing to lose at any level mind but don’t think there will be too many fudges given.

Roll on Saturday....

In fairness, yeah, I get it. Nonetheless a few folks travelled down and its a bit disappointing to lose for me and them, given the personal cost. Hey ho, Id rather we get promoted at the end of the season than win the league cup. I think with a dull strength team, we'd have won it, but makes to rest some and trial fringe players.

100% this. I never want to see us lose, but I'm glad we're out this pointless cup. And whilst I don't expect Paul Smith to publicly say it, as he has more class than me, I'm sure he has similar feelings. Let's concentrate on the league!

I've no idea why this competition exists. I know from speaking to people involved in other clubs they actively want to lose these sort of games. It actually costs the club money if you go on and win the thing.

The league, FA Cup, FA Trophy and the Senior Cup are plenty. Can't we just get rid? Do we have to enter? Yesterday could have been used to play a league game and catch up with others in our league in terms of games played. Instead we were occupied with a game no one really wants to be a part of. It just seems ridiculous, given the already heavy schedule.

I'm not a fan, I thought I'd reiterate that, just incase I didn't get that point accross.

There you go. Rant over. I've had nothing else to moan about all season.

with a squad approaching 20, and an under 21 / 23 side (I've lost track of my own age so no idea how old they are)...... pushing for football, not sure I understand the issue with these games. Once we're knocked out of them all (cups) how do you keep some of these players happy other than shipping them out to the midland football league et al??

Wasn't a bad game last night, we had the lions share of possession but didn't create a lot, the 2nd goal knocked the stuffing out of us so early in the second half, but we kept trying. Bunn, Yates and the young lad Simpson made a difference when they came on, but highlight of the night was Brad Ward who was exceptional
