To make everyone feel even worse, Lowestoft and St Ives winning at half time in the league.
Lowestoft pegged back to a draw. St Ives won.

Just 1 game left. Can Hill get sacked for that too?

St Ives conceded in injury time! 2 - 2.
Off the hook a little.

Can't wait for today's excuse. We've only got one more excuse to put up with!

Thanks to the hardy few for the updates today.

Sounds like a real drubbing after a good start. Letting in 8 is careless to put it mildly, notwithstanding the opposition.

I'm sure it wouldn't have made much difference to the result, but I just don't get the point of the manager staying on, and makes me concerned about who's coming in, especially if the outgoing manager is helping with the selection.

Very hard to know what to say about the game.

We started off very well, scored a couple of lovely goals, but they just walked through us going down the considerable slope in a crazy first half.

Second half was closer, although the slope gave us no advantage, and we tired towards the end on a wet (but very playable) pitch.

Obviously disappointing to lose by so many, but they were really excellent and too good for us.

Had a great time to be honest. A nice bunch of people at Spennymoor, was good to see YeltzDoc, and at least we gave it a go against a clearly superior side.

Possible some consolation for those that were there in that it was a unique Yeltz occasion as we've haven't lost by that scoreline before in our post WWII days.
Doc, was it a similar feeling to Ledbury 17 May 1983? ......

Juanillo,
Please tell me that your reference to the selection of a new manager is untrue!
