Paul Harding anybody?
Haha. It’s a close call between the two of them, and that’s saying something!

Not too much to add to here today as most people have said similar things.

After a poor start we improved and equalised and looked pretty decent for the majority of the game and looked relatively comfortable being 2-1 up until about 20 minutes to go.

So you would think swapping a seasoned pro in Lee Hughes who has worked tirelessly for 70 odd minutes, worked the channels, won a penalty and scored and wound up the opposition could be replaced easily with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake who has had a similar career albeit 10 years younger?!

Well you couldn’t be further from the truth. He was dreadful. I’d struggled to think of a player who has performed so badly in a game as long as I’ve watched Halesowen. For an ex-professional player, he was embarrassing. He could barely run, hold the ball up or make any meaningful contribution to the game.

After that, inevitably they equalised and could have won it in the end. Disappointing really, and questions have to be asked of the poor substitutions that happened. To me, there’s no tactical planning in anything, a manager who is desperate and despite a decent attendance today - a positive crowd towards the team and a club, but not really of the manager.

Direct quote from a mate of mine who attended today regarding John Hill:

He has no idea he’s useless, only cares about the food after the game and signing as many players as possible.

Can’t really disagree there....
Great post, as per.

Halesowen Town 2 King’s Lynn Town 2

Halesowen remain unbeaten at home but had to be content with a point after previously recovering from an early setback to take a second-half lead. Prior to the kick-off a one-minute silence was held in remembrance of long-time supporter Jack Wesley Bennett, aged 86.

There were two early goals in first six minutes to whet the appetite in an even first half. The Linnets made the perfect start to their first league game under caretaker managers Robbie Back and Neil Fryatt by snatching a 2nd minute lead when Michael Clunan’s deep free-kick was headed back at the far post by Ryan Fryatt for Craig PARKER to stab home on the goal-line. But the Yeltz were soon back on level terms when Jack Kelly crossed from the left for James ROBERTS to steer confidently into the corner of the net in the 6th minute.

In end-to-end exchanges new home signing Babucar Sauane curled wide in the 14th minute and Dan Platt collected a raking 18th minute shot from Jarvis Ryan. Asa Charlton fired a speculative 35 yard shot just inches over the bar after 24 minutes and Roberts forced a good save from Alexander Street a minute later. Street then saved Jordan Goddard’s free-kick from the edge of the penalty area at the end of the first period.

After the break Halesowen took a 49th minute lead when HUGHES stepped up to convert from the penalty spot after being clipped in the penalty area. Platt then saved from Toby Hilliard after 54 minutes but it was Charlton who missed the chance to increase the home lead when he just failed to make a strong enough contact at the far post from Kelly’s long 55th minute free-kick, allowing Street to save. Roberts then played in Ahmed Ali to lift a 63rd minute shot over the bar.

But the visitors increasingly threatened late on and Hughes did well to clear a powerful header off his own goal line from Clunan’s 66th minute corner. After a couple of home substitutions and increasing pressure, the Linnets eventually found a late equaliser to rescue a point in great style when Frazer Blake-Tracy delivered an 83rd minute cross for Harry LIMB to score with a diving header.
