I should point out that my records prior to the 1980's regarding attendances are significantly incomplete, especially for away matches. So, for example whereas the Walsall Sportsco 22 is shown as the lowest attendance, there's every chance we've played before smaller crowds in the 1970's when our fortunes reached their post-war nadir.
Similarly, after the immediate post-war reformation of the club when crowds at many live sporting events were very high, it could be there are some high attendances at The Grove awaiting discovery.

This is also an opportunity to say that the Match database on the official site now includes all the matches I have record of back to around 1955 after the mammoth works of Guesty. The same goes for the ex-Yeltz players section.
Eventually the results section will be back to the same period.
