Thought I would wait a while before commenting on this match, but wow, how to self destruct.

I have tried to be positive towards the management, its not an easy job, and I honestly believe they are doing their best.

But now I really believe we need a change. It's clearly not working results wise, performances generally are poor, and apathy seems to be taking over the players as well as the fans.

Time for change to breathe some urgency into the players and hope into the fans because as it stands, we lose to Sutton we are doomed.

Halesowen Town 1 Buxton 3

Halesowen slumped to defeat after Buxton’s hit-man Liam Hardy bagged his second festive hat-trick to wrap up the points within half an hour.

It took Hardy just 16 seconds to find the net when Exodus Geohaghon lost the ball straight from Halesowen’s kick-off, allowing Joe McGee to skip down the left and cross for unmarked HARDY to crack home from eight yards out.

John McAtee was Halesowen’s most dangerous player - on his last scheduled loan game from Shrewsbury - and his low 2nd minute shot was turned away for a corner before his 4th minute shot was collected at the second attempt by Buxton goalkeeper Jan Budtz. McAtee then drove wide after 10 minutes in a spell of decent home pressure.

But the Bucks continued to look far more potent going forwards as Hardy was put through to fire wide after 15 minutes and then blasted high following Asa Charlton’s 22nd minute slip in a shaky home defence.

HARDY doubled Buxton’s lead in the 29th minute after latching onto Jack Broadhead’s long ball and getting the better of Geohaghon to calmly beat home goalkeeper Dan Platt with a delightful finish into the corner of the net with the Yeltz too slow in defence again.

Just a minute later, Hardy completed his third hat-trick of the season with his 27th goal of the campaign when Kyle Morrison failed to clear Bradley Lewis’s back header and HARDY confidently hit home across goalkeeper Platt to establish a dominant 3-0 lead.

The Yeltz pulled a goal back after 36 minutes when McAtee burst down the left on a breakaway and crossed for Enock EKONGO to control and squeeze his shot past defender Matt Baker and through the legs of goalkeeper Budtz. Just before the interval, Budtz collected a deflected shot from Halesowen’s McAtee.

There was plenty of effort from the hosts in the second period, but the incisive quality was lacking and the Bucks were in no mood to let their lead slip.

McGee was denied in a 54th minute goalmouth scramble and both Hardy and McGee continued to cause problems as they combined after an hour. For the Yeltz, McAtee curled a 20-yard free-kick over the bar in the 71st minute.

Sam Smith almost nipped in to beat home goalkeeper Platt with twelve minutes remaining and Smith was just off target again in the 88th minute but Hardy’s first-half brilliance had already sealed all three points and the visitors were happy to soak up Halesowen’s late possession to head home without Budtz being troubled.

The lack of discussion post match sums it all up, doesn’t it?
