Scoreline not a reflection of the game, played some nice football at times and created many chances.
One BIG negative for me though. The balding weed bed, that was 'a priority as soon as the season ended' apparently, may come back to haunt us later in the season. Looked awful.

I thought we created the better chances during the game and some of our passing at times was great to see. Two mistakes cost us goals but on another day we might have got 5/6 had it not been for their keeper(s) saves.
Having been to all the friendlies it's clear to see the progress made already in pre season. Ethan Delaney is a player I've been keen to see play against better players (With all due respect to those we've already played) and he didn't disappoint. I thought he looked a real handful. Clearly very raw, and will clearly need time to get used to the NPL - I just hope he can develop and folk will give him time to develop.
In terms of the squad, I like the Brags/Denny combination - however I'd like for us to have 'unit' in the middle, particular for those tough trips ooop north on a Tuesday night when we could do with another central midfielder. I worry that perhaps we can't always accommodate two strikers and Melvin and Maradona in the same team. Nice to see Kaiman back, his quality and work rate are superb. Defensively, we've seen numerous folk play at centre half, none other than the two familiar faces tonight, but i'd like to see a central defender too.
I guess holidays also dictate the team to a degree, but on the whole it's very positive so far!

Really enjoyed our performance. As previously said some really good passing moves.

It's nice to see a reluctance to just aimlessly hoof the ball up top, and actually try and play the ball of floor.

How we didn't score at least once, I'll never know. Had we had our shooting boots on we could and perhaps should have scored 3 or 4.

It's bloody brilliant to see how much further we are along than we were this time last year. We lost to a youthful Alverchurch side in our first home friendly last season. Which came with a pretty shambolic display.

I feel really positive and excited about the forthcoming campaign.
