Not long got back. A Fabulous 3pts after nightmare journey. Left at 4, didn't arrive until 6:45 of which two hours was spent getting to the A14! About 40 Yeltzmen and women there at a guess, no surprise really for a Tuesday night with the game only confirmed at lunchtime.

The game itself was a good game, we were worthy of our 0-1 half time lead from Isedyn who caused them no end of problems with his hold up play and laying off of the ball. Ben worked tirelessly alongside him making runs into the channels and was unfortunate to not be on the score sheet himself when the keeper made a good save from a narrow angle.
The midfield three were doing their usual job of protecting the back three superbly and got forward well at times. I was particularly impressed with the midfield three's composure in the last third and instead of seeing long range shots going well wide or well over we seemed to be making more of the ball to create chances. Whilst their equaliser might have knocked the stuffing out of some sides, our lads came back even harder and ensured we took the momentum of the game. Jones came on for the ever hardworking Griff at left wing back and Turner for Bragoli who moments earlier had made a great surging run to almost create a chance. Jones made an immediate impact skipping past their full back to earn us a free kick and their player a booking. Nothing came of the free kick but only a few minutes later Jones again made a good run and cross but Stamford cleared. Jones again was unlucky not to increase our lead as he danced inside their full back and placed a shot just wide of the post by a foot at most.
The winner came from 'JJ', who just happened to be in the right place at the right time after Joe Hull hit a screamer off the ball. It was fabulous to see the players go over to us lot to celebrate the goal and the look on JJ's face was a picture!
The biggest farce of the game came when Aaron Forde got booked for being held back, and then kicked and having the audacity to be worked up about it!

A great performance, great resilience, great desire and in JJ we have a little gem of a player who not only has a trick or two and can beat a player he don't half graft as well!

Let's have a huge crowd on Saturday for the visit of Buxton! If we can beat them, with Curzon and FCUM to play twice there is no reason why we can't have a bloody good go at these play offs! If we don't get there who cares? We've exceeded all expectations already this season!

See you on Saturday!

Well after a longer than normal journey (slightly fractious) made Stamford for a well deserved fish and chips in riverside restaurant, Last time i went there a good few years back with the late Dave Parkes.

The new ground is plonked on the edge of the town and council tax payers can see where their money has gone.

A few hardy Halesowen fans made the long trek. About 30 ish.

The home support starting singing after 25 minutes a load of tripe and giving verbal banter which really did not encourage their team. Christie opened the scoring minutes after Stamford fans sang we were S!!!t and so was Halesowen the place. We had been the better of the two teams with more chances and attacking play.

Half time they must have had a rocket as they came at us more the start of the second half and equalized.

John Hill and Trevor rang the changes and Jake Jones JJ (sponsored by Yeltz Family) made a lively start which Stamford could not cope with. On the 86/87 minute we think it was Joe Hull let fly a screamer shot which hit the cross bar and for once we had the rub of the green or bobble and new man Jake was there to bury the ball in the back of the net and natural instinct came and celebrated immediately with the five singers behind the goal. Sending every forzen person from Halesowen home happy.

Ref had a couple of poor moments second half and Aaron Forde was booked having been foulded by a Stamford player he said clearly "blah blah see you after" then the ref just booked the Stamford player.

The ref found 5 minutes added time but Halesowen ran the clock down well.

ALL did well and we deserved the three points.

A great 3 points bring on Buxton Saturday.
