League and Shield double! A perfect end to a perfect season.
How long to the pre-season games? ::)

Champs of the Champions.

Really enjoyed today - Turner missed a couple of sitters first half and Griffiths missed one too.

Second half - Ben rounds the keeper and scores, Christie and Hull follow up with two headed goals.

We let them have one back but it was all over.

A shield to go with the Trophy.

Well DONE to ALL - What a season. Thank you.

Summed up perfectly Lutley apart from the preseason bit. I want a nice long football free summer now. Ahh, the World Cup, oh well.:)

You're overcome with a surfeit of football emotion as you dwell on the fact that your other allegiance in footie has escaped the abyss of League 1 by the width of a gnat's knacker!
Have a long pull on a can of "Old Speckled Hen" and relax - it's all over - for a few weeks.

I thought there wasn't much between the sides to be honest until we scored and then they crumbled defensively. Either team could have argued the case for being ahead at half time when they hit the post from the free kick and we had two or three good chances to score.
We never really looked like losing and our back four again were excellent. I'm not sure who chose man of the match but I agree with their choice of Joe Hull (closely followed by Curtis) they dealt with their big number 9 really well.
The substitutions of Forde and Botfield gave us fresh legs in the middle and I though Guyes also did well when he came on.
Another trophy, another win. Great end to the season... See you in the summer!

Lutley, it was never in doubt. I was as confident as I was at Belper....;)
