First of all - three points!
A game of missed chances for us and a referee who really defied belief at times.
Kyle Patterson could have marked his debut with a goal. How was it possible that the ball stayed out?
Christie was top class again, working hard and leading the line very well, whilst Aaron was a worthy MOM with two well taken goals. The second was perfectly described by JohnnyBud in the updates as - "a screamer."

A good team performance.

PS How the hell does Tonksy throw the ball that far?

a very satisfactory win, played loads better than last week just not putting our chances away. Patterson had a good game with an assist for the first goal and they offered absolutely nothing apart from two very slow centre-halves who didn't know how to kick a ball, onwards to Romulus

the highlight had to be the ref giving a foul to them in the first half when Charlton clearly got the ball...madness

With two well-taken goals I can understand Arron getting MoM but have to agree with Lutley that Christie was terrific again today, worked hard but used that effort intelligently. I just hope some of the youngsters in the squad are picking up on the way he holds on to possession and delivers the right pass to the right player. The through ball where Patterson hit the post was the pick of half a dozen that deserved better results.

Agree with all of the above. We do seem to make things harder than they need to be sometimes- we should have tied the game up sooner. A good game though, with confident performances from all players.

Apparently the Rainworth game was called off today on police advice, something to do with (and I'm not making this up) the social club over the road from the ground. I understand that Johnny Bud has friends there- I'm hoping he can shine some light on the situation :-\

Really pleased to read Christie played brilliantly. Genuinely rate the bloke.

Well done to all again.

Aaron's second goal was superb from the right side a left footed curler past the keeper.

Need more from Kyle although he did hit the upright.

We deserved the points but doubts were expressed about the keeper for their goal although I did not see wat happened.

Hope Romulus can cope with a big crowd on Monday only 57 at home today. How do they afford to keep going? Bet we will take more than that.

By popular little well in fact no demand (actually Lutley asked), todays ditty

No fish today, just the news
About the match, about the Blues
Once more we won by two to one
Once more we needed woollies on

We kicked off second in the table
We hoped to show that we were able
Of staying there another week
And closing in on leaders Leek

Sixteen in, we got the first
From Aarons head while Lincoln cursed
Some of them were lucky fellows
They saw not red but only yellows

Mince pies we ate as half-time came
Until the ref resumed the game
Another goal would calm us down
It’s nip and tuck, Come On Town!

A wonder goal, in it flew
It seemed that only Aaron knew
A chance was on, he hit it true
The keeper tried, as keepers do

But yet had we done enough?
We gifted one and made it tough
But after that we were stable
So still sit second in the table!
