Unfortunately unable to make the game yesterday but I was pleased with the three points, especially against Mickleover, who we seem to struggle against. Not particularly impressed to hear that the last twenty minutes were very nail biting but hey-ho its three points and when you consider who we were up against, how many injuries we've had recently and the fact we've permanently lost a very good defender in Gavin Winsper, there are a lot of positives to take. Judging from the comments here and what I've heard from other people is that their number three should have been sent off. Not the first time that's happened this season, when the Gresley play should have been off, but maybe eventually we might have all of our luck may change and the obvious sending offs actually be given (excluding the Bedworth one that was actually given for a change ;) ). Also lets not get carried away with being second (if anybody was) because if you look closely, all it takes is one defeat, and the rest of the teams win and we're out of the play-off zone all together. Anyway, let's look forward, not behind. All we can do is win our games so let's just concentrate on that! #uptheyeltz

I'm convinced we'll win this league.

When Ben and Lait get back and fully fit that'll be a huge boost.

I wouldn't be so sure Raiden, one player does not win the league mate. Not criticizing your optimism, mate, don't get me wrong. However It's a long ,long season and considering there is only 3 points between us and dropping out of the play-off zone, I believe it's to early too predict this league. I sure hope I am proven wrong though ;)

Good result. Looking forward to next Saturday.

Reading Lait has a double hernia in the Halesowen News wonder how long he will be out.
Also realise how unfortunate John Hill has been with injuries to his players this season.

I still think we could do with at least one other player to give us an option.

A hard battling performance. We can play better but good teams win when they don't play too well. Thought Christie was superb - won almost everything in the air and laid the ball off really well. Curtis Tilt had another good game, and Asa was class. Thought we defended really well as I can't remember our keepr having a save to make until the end, even though Mickleover had lots of possession. Fair play to our keeper for making an excellent save to tip the ball onto the post in the last few minutes which helped win us the three points.
Excellent poem by andy as well! :)

In a game played under a mackeral sky
we scored twice, with one in reply
the referee was a fish out of water
he let things go he shouldn't of oughta

We reeled them in, then a pen to us
it seemed quite soft, it caused a fuss
in the back of the net went Christies shot
we rose like salmon, i kid you not

Talking of salmon, Joe hull leapt high
a well headed goal should now settle the tie
a whale of a time we should now have had
but we sat too deep, i was not glad

At us they came, wave after wave
they had a pen then a wonderful save
kept us in front, cod only knows
how we won this game and i was froze!

Sorry you just had to be stood by us.......Image
Excellent, Brother Avery! :)

On a par with Scouses' re-write of 'The Deadwood Stage'. Could you put a tune to it?

Is this by way of your application to become The Mighty Yeltz Poet Lorry Lot?

O0 O0 O0 - it must be good!
