well I've never seen a team so deep as we were for the last 20 mins, just wave after wave but we did hold out....just. Felt their 3 should have been sent off in first half and not too sure about either penalty but hung on for a valuable 3 point

and their coach celebrating before it went in and then hit the post......priceless

Agreed absolutely marvellous - not the best of games but surely better than being at a Craft Fayre or down at the German Market? (JohnC you really need a word with MrsC !)
Back to 2nd in the league - onwards and upwards.

p.s, good to see the bottled Bathams and draught Enville in the new bar

A Fishy Tale

In a game played under a mackeral sky
we scored twice, with one in reply
the referee was a fish out of water
he let things go he shouldn't of oughta

We reeled them in, then a pen to us
it seemed quite soft, it caused a fuss
in the back of the net went Christies shot
we rose like salmon, i kid you not

Talking of salmon, Joe hull leapt high
a well headed goal should now settle the tie
a whale of a time we should now have had
but we sat too deep, i was not glad

At us they came, wave after wave
they had a pen then a wonderful save
kept us in front, cod only knows
how we won this game and i was froze!

Sorry you just had to be stood by us.......Image
