Still has us in that 5th spot.

On chances we won by a canter......and if the league was decided on moaning Stamford would have had it sewn up by last Christmas !!!!

Pity we couldn't get the win. We had the better of the game and the chances, though just as we could've won it so could they near the end - great header off the line. They were a no-nonsense solid outfit but favoured the long boot whenever possible or hoped for second balls from set pieces and long throw-ins. The fact that we've done so well against 3 of the top 4 in recent matches augurs well if the side can be kept largely together next season.

It's 6 months since we played Stamford away, which was also a fortnight after John Hill took over and we got a thorougly deserved 2nd half thrashing that afternoon. The difference in our side now, particularly in the recent tight and fiercely competitive games against the top sides, is remarkable.
And how great it's been to have important league matches at The Grove again!
