Coalville and Carlton both drew - we're still third.

I did fear for us in this one, but not dropping down the table after other results is a psychological plus. Lets pick it up and go again!!

..and Leek managed to lose at home to Rainworth, so could've been worse.

Easily our worst display of the season my view but it was bound to happen at some point. And again can't fault the effort of the players really we just seemed to have no real threat up front until Waldren came on towards the end. Christie's Goal came right out of the blue and caused some consternation amongst the home support who felt it was offside my immediate thought was if the situation had been reversed we would have been shouting the same! I was not as impressed with the keeper this match and I think we've had this season 3 goalkeepers play who as far as making saves goes are much of a muchness but I think what the management are looking for is good communication and command of the area and defence. I think credit has to go to Brendan Kelly today whose overall defending and performance was excellent in my view. Credit to Newcastle who were full value for the win today. I think this was just a one off poor performance and we just need to dust ourselves down and move forward onwards and upwards!
