Working parties

Post by ZeeZee » 26 Apr 2012, 19:19

There are many tasks that need to be attended to around the Grove over the close season. Much has been achieved over the past 12 months but to continue the good work and keep our home up to the required standard we again need many volunteers.

Working parties will take place Tuesday & Thursday evenings and during the day on Saturday and Sundays.

We need plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, builders and anyone willing and capable of just getting involved with any type of work such as weeding etc.

ANY help is appreciated, even if you can just give one hour occasionally, it's OUR club, it can only prosper if WE get involved.

Anyone who can offer any help please get in touch

Hi Mate,

When do these start again?

Im all up for another summer of hard graft down The Grove!

I assume the pitch is on the top of the list this year? ;)

The bulk of the work will begin during the week commencing Mon 7th, yes the work is planned to start on the pitch that week and it is a priority but there are many 'substantial' tasks to be completed.

Superb!

Be brilliant to have a few more faces this close season. Last year it was the same people more or less week in week out.

The more people down there, the more work that can be done etc.

Yeah, bagsy leaning up the side smoking a fag with a beer, 'supervising' :P

In all seriousness, my wife reckons I'm quite good at painting and "mending stuff"... while she 'supervises' with a fag and a beer! ;D

We need people from 08.30am on Saturday (12th) from there we will put together some regular times etc when work can take place.

Brooms, shovels, tools etc etc are always useful if you can bring them with you.
