With KD though, it’s the usual dilemma - sell now and take a fee or hold onto him for the season and risk losing him for nothing. His stock is sky high right now but I daresay that that to lose both strikers with no obvious replacements would be very damaging.

Losing Pontecelli doesn't bother me all too much, good players don't hang around too long, and he's certainly a very good player. That's just the nature of the non-league beast, it's a blow but it's always something that can and will happen. I wish him all the best if the rumours are true, he's certainly earned it.

What does bother me greatly is the idea that we will see Yussuf darkening the Grove pitch again. That cannot be allowed to happen, unfortunately, and I hope our staff are working hard to bring in a replacement for Pontecelli, which I'm sure they will.

I've never quite heard as much rumour as this since the dark times of M**s*n and Lynch, so it's likely to be true. Really disappointing as to only be here 8 weeks and then off is a blow. That said, not a normal situation, of course the money if true will be big, but the dangle of Spurs at home with TV coverage would be difficult for anyone to turn down who's not cup-tied (as he is not). Just a fecker it's us! I think we'll need to reign in the optimism for the season though, as it's very hard to find a player like JP, and to find 2 in a season, well, good luck!

Absolutely agree with the last part there, HH - what an addition he's been and absolutely no surprise that our form has been red hot since he arrived. I'm sure we've got the ability to attract a good striker, but not one that covers all bases like he does.

Has anyone offered Andy counselling if this move does happen?

The silence from the club & Tamworth is deafening . There needs to be clarity from either . He will be a big miss for sure & needs to be replaced . If indeed he has left us .
