Shame. Played an important role for the last few years but the signing of Tommy Taylor was the death knell.
“Club Legend” after a hundred or so appearances is a touch of hyperbole, but he will definitely be fondly remembered.

Good luck Evo and thanks for your great efforts.

I’m one of the guilty parties on the “legend” tag and you’re probably right, but I really do rate some of the recent crop on similar terms as those of the 90s era.

Hard to believe Evo represented Coleshill for as long as he did (no offence, Rob (or Coleshill) :-\ ) as he was the mustard for us in those first few seasons and you think he could have gone a lot higher.

He also had a few moments of magic in his locker - some very memorable goals and that game-winning assist at Halifax - that made him a bit special. I’d have no hesitation in bunging him in my favourite XI.

Perhaps not enough of a tribute to warrant a statue (not sure they’d do his beard justice anyway) but one of my faves 🙂

That pass at Halifax and his beard are enough to cement him in history on their own.
