I presume it could be switched to us being at home?
Not sure if other teams would be happy who have had to play them as an away game.
I meant with our scheduled home game later in the season also being switched to being away. Assuming they still exist and have sorted out their problems of course!

Nuneaton have just cancelled the fireworks event scheduled for tomorrow at their ground due to the 'ongoing situation with the stadium.'

So therefore seven of the final ten games of the season now away from home, sounds tough.

Have we swapped the home and away games around, or is Tuesday’s game still Nuneaton’s “home” game but being played at The Grove?

I think it’s the latter, but not seen anything that makes it clear

I asked this question too, and it is the former. The games are swapped and we will go to them later in the season.

Cheers for confirming - although sadly I wouldn’t give good odds on the later fixture actually taking place :(

A further update from them - https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/nuneaton ... 14996.html

Seems the club are claiming that they are being screwed over by the landlord who have, “a different agenda”.
But, they were in rent arrears and I’ve no idea what the history was, so I suspect it isn’t as simple as the property owner wanting to flog the land.

Maybe they’re going to build, “George Elliot World”?

C’marn, let’s have your mid-19th Century-based footballers…

Lets put that £60k revenue loss to the test. Last year they averaged crowds of 770, this year 505 so say say £5000 allowing for season tickets and concessions. They have moved 3 matches to date (including tonight) so that is £15000

So to make up the £60k, they would have had to take £45000 for their fireworks event. Even with an attendance of 1000 (there are a lot of firework fans in Nuneaton, I'm sure) double the average gate it is £45 per head for firework tickets.

Either fireworks and candy floss are expensive in Nuneaton, or someone is exaggerating the loss a bit

Doesn't stop me feeling for their genuine fans though, in some ways this is too close to our previous issue at Th Grove
