Todays game is off.
Thanks to all those that turned up to help and those that offered help if there was any chance of getting it on.

Good to see faces down the Grove this morning.

The significance of this is more far reaching, with yet another sign of our recovery as a club.

With people willing to turn up at the crack of dawn, even though in their heads they knew there was little chance, is reminiscent of the old days when we had a club that people cared about.

I recall many times that there were several inches of snow, or a pitch under water, with no hope at all of getting the game on, but people still turned up in numbers. Sadly most of those are now either too old or no longer with us, but just the fact that there are now younger willing replacements gives hope.

This is how we build a club for the future.

I had to do something to justify the cooked breckie I had when I got home !!

My 11 year old wanted to come this morning to help out this morning too but I was gutted when I was told it was off; like the others say, maybe the beginnings of a Phoenix?

I for one am interested, care, and willing to give a bit of my spare time to help the Yeltz out
