Leiston’s Nickname

Post by YeltzDoc » 03 Aug 2023, 23:56

Very disappointingly that they’re know as, “The Blues”.

Given the fact that they’re about a mile and a half from the Sizewell B nuclear reactor, there should be a much more exciting pseudonym.

I will provide a selection that they can buy from me for £4 each.

“The Atoms”
“The Mutants”
“The Glow”
“The Ready Brekkers”
“The Oppenheimers” (50p supplement)
“The Rutherfords”
“The Boom”

Postal orders to the usual address please.

Apparently the real meaning of 'two head heads are better than one' stems from this very area.

I know Leiston quite well and went there when we got thrashed a few years ago.

It is very near to some very nice places as well!

It's all in jest juanillo as you know. It's what we do on here. I'm sure there are plenty of lovely marshy featureless mudflats nearby.....

Looking at the rain persisting down right now at 8 am there could be a marshy flatland in Old Hawne Lane!

Who would believe fixtures may get postponed on the opening day of the season due to waterlogged pitches :o
Sure loads will be in a lot worse state than ours :)
