I'd have tried to sign the Khalsa number 10. Has this new guy got any pace as that's what we need.

He is 32, and missed most of last season with a serious knee injury. Has generally been used as a wide player. Been mainly a substitute this season, but has scored a couple of goals.

The Khalsa number 10 is either 2nd or 3rd in the league goalscorers:

1 Jonathan Margetts Stamford 17
2 Miracle Okafor Sporting Khalsa 17
3 Kai Tonge Coleshill Town 17
4 Simeon Cobourne Halesowen Town 12
5 Nat Ansu Harborough Town 11
6 Kevin Da Silva Bastos Loughborough Dynamo 11
7 Zayn Hakeem Shepshed Dynamo 11
8 Richard Gregory Halesowen Town 10

Looks a squad signing rather than a marquee one, but you never quite know. Who would have thought that the lad Donnelly, who was largely a spare full-back at Redditch, would have the impact that he has.
It seems a sensible, opportunistic move, having tempted Sammons from our Reserves at Stratford, I suspect that even our well-publicised, mega-bucks budget probably doesn't stretch to a Miracle.
The top-scorer chart above looks pretty healthy for us, but Sim has spluttered a bit lately and whilst Insall has been influential in many ways, he's not exactly Joinson-esque.
I suspect Gregs will get 20 goals, because he always does, but he's not getting any younger and is generally playing a deeper role.

Will 20 each from Gregs and Sim and 10+ from Jamie be enough? Mini-Mac seems a bit quiet compared to last year so I don't see another double-figure contributor.

As always, the cherry on the top, a Joiner, Pie-Arse, Ben10 etc, is the toughest one to get.

As an aside, I can only think of 7 cast-iron goalscorers in my 40 years, 3 of whom were in the same team, and if I were to murder my darlings, you could cut it down to Paul, making it only 5 -

Both twins and Geoff
Evran
Jason Ashby, briefly
Pie-Arse
Ben10

Have I missed any in my post-festive fug?

I had Stefan Moore and Jason Ashby as the same person in my mind, which is clearly ridiculous.
And stats on a goals per game for any strikers who played over 30 games or something like?

Of recent players Iyseden Christie, might be worth a shout, although his average would be boosted by the 6 against Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band

Not sure of his stats but Dean Spink may be a good call and we sold him to Cov (or was it The Bedwetters?) as a striker so he must have been some good.
All before he went off to join the cast of Neighbours, of course.
